Situation:

Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group, a large medical practice in Carmel, New York, managed over 75,000 patient charts in their onsite Medical Records Area. This incredibly high volume of charts led to a chaotic daily operation of pulling and filing charts for the 3 offices and consumed a significant amount of space dedicated entirely to chart storage and management.

Results:

Thanks to the implementation of the Paperless Charting System recommended by PDS, Somers Orthopaedic currently operates with a completely digital charting system and has constructed 4 new exam rooms in the area that once used to be the Medical Records Area. They were able reduce their staff through normal attrition, and have faster access to all of their patient information from all remote locations, and home!
